BSI works in three mediums – sand cast aluminum, ductile and grey cast iron, and fabricated steel. The SolidWorks system has upgraded our ability to produce blueprints and machine programs, improving consistency and accuracy in the manufacturing process of these mediums.
Many years ago, in the beginning years of this industry, when you ordered a mount kit you knew there would be a good possibility you would have to do modifications to the kit once it arrived. Maybe you would have to “shim” a bracket to make it square, or maybe ream out some of the holes to make them the correct size. Now days, with the technology available our kits are “ready out of the box” for installation for a right fit, first time - every time. Gone are the days of modifying brackets.
Our 3D printer allows us to “print” both a 3D model of the part and a check fixture so that we can check our parts for accuracy before going to production with them. That same check fixture can be used to check production parts as they come off the machines.
